We are a small home based breeder of the wonderful Portuguese Water Dog (PWD) breed. We are located just north or Toronto in the town of Stouffville, Ontario. We are firm believers that our dogs are part of our family and are treated as such. As family members they spend their days and nights close to us.
We were introduced to this breed in 1991 when we met Regala's Sailor Girl of Aliana (Bubbles) and Leona Ives (Aliana Registered Kennels) in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Leona was one of the first breeders of PWD's in Canada and registered the first Canadian bred litter. From that litter Leona agreed to our adoption of our beautiful girl 'Fado'.
Our first litter was born in February 2006 after spending 13 years apprenticing and learning from Leona about breeding and whelping litters of puppies. We have assisted many of Leona's and our own new Water Dog owners in training their pups to be good family members. We are always available to help our new families with their pups at any time.
We enjoy educating people on this breed and strive to produce puppies which are well socialized, healthy and of great temperament through our strict breeding program. Our dogs are given stringent health clearances prior to breeding and our puppies go to their new homes after having a thorough veterinary check.
We are members, in good standing, of the Portuguese Water Dog Club of Canada, the Portuguese Water Dog Club of America, and the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC).
